UKM CYBERTERCH

UKM Cybertech has been established since 2008. However, because there was no one can organize and management this organisation, then this UKM directly vacuum. UKM Cybertech is related with Technology Information for example, multimedia, networks, operation system and programs.

In this PKM (Pelan Kreatifitas Mahasiswa) UKM Cybertech has many events. The first is Doctor Droid. It start from Monday to Friday,  in this event they will receive/serve students android cellphone  to be more cool and fashionable. This service is free. The service is not only for students but also for the public.

The second is go open source seminars. It will be held October 2, 2012 at State Polytechnic of Padang Hall. The event will held at 10.00 am until done. This event is special for the State Polytechnic of Padang students, the presenters Arif Mardianto, Harry Can Putra, and friends. They will explain about the used of legal software without piracy. In this event UKM Cybertech also invite the other communities such as Forkoss (Forum Komunikasi Open Source), ARM (Android Ranah Minang), Backtrack (sistim operasi untuk penetrasi setting), and SLIM (Database/online library). There are many knowledge that we will get and find in this seminar. Something that we don’t know before.

The third is snapshot competition. It will held October 1-4, 2012. For this event the participants have to take the photograph at State Polytechnic of Padang area. In this competition, the participants send or upload their photos in to facebook links/UKM Cybertech fanspage. If many people like their photos he or she will be the winner. The participants of the snapshot competition are State Polytechnic of Padang students.

And the last event is Blog Competition, it will held on the same day, October 1-4, 2012. This event is online. The participants are Senior High School or SMK in Padang. The participants must apply directly in State Polytechnic of Padang..

Hopefully with this event, it become a stand up stone to gain a success for UKM Cybertech.

Ucapkan Sesuatu!!
Salam!!

Sudah hampir setengah semester V berjalan, dan para mahasiswa Jurusan Bahasa Inggris konsentrasi Broadcasting telah memasuki babak baru, yaitu praktikum broadcasting dengan langsung melakukan proses penulisan naskah, perekaman, editing, dan penyelesaian.

Beberapa hasil rekaman praktikum mulai dari iklan, siaran hiburan, serta yang paling anyar yaitu radio info tentang PKM telah selesai dilaksanakan oleh sebagian besar mahasiswa Semester V. Dari proses ke proses yang dijalani tentu harapan dari para dosen Radio Broadcasting ada progress yang sangat signifikan yang dihasilkan oleh mahasiswa, walaupun pada tahap awal sedikit terkendala, namun di bagian membuat radio info tentang PKM, banyak sekali peningkatan yang terjadi, dan itulah yang sangat diharapkan. Semoga bisa lebih ditingkatkan lagi, sehingga menjadi profesional-profesional di bidang Broadcasting tidak hanya di Indonesia, tapi mampu untuk bersaing di luar negeri.

Dari 3 praktikum yang dilakukan, khusus untuk PKM, para mahasiswa diminta untuk membuat naskah artikel tentang kegiatan-kegiatan yang ada di Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa di Politeknik Negeri Padang, dan setelah di editing, maka seluruh naskah artikel yang telah dikirim oleh mahasiswa, juga di Posting di Blog Ucapkan Sesuatu!! sehingga dapat dibaca oleh seluruh pengunjung blog ini terutama para dosen dan juga para mahasiswa Jurusan Bahasa Inggris PNP lainnya.

Tentunya juga ditunggu komentar dari para pengunjung blog ini di masing-masing artikel yang sudah di posting.

Week of  Student Creativity Event

Polytechnics are college shape in Indonesia in vocational education  that every student who prepared for  the world of work field. In addition, not only as a polytechnic college only engaged in polytechnic education alone but also establish the soft skills of  students so that later on the future after graduating from the polytechnic has the skills and soft skills are good. Padang State Polytechnic is a polytechnic in Indonesia trying to make happen by reason of that Padang State Polytechnic Week each semester always makes student creativity. Week one student creativity student activities when before diadakn exactly when the mid semester exam of the semester. State Polytechnic of  Padang on 01-07 October 2012 held a weekend student creativity consists of a wide range of  UKM and existing Hima  Polytechnic environment ie, Satgas , Ksr, Robotics , Art, Uko, Language, Press, and etc. In PKM activity is usually every UKM and Hima has an activity which they held as KSR-PMI  Unit at State Polytechnic of Padang  has activities such activities, Diklatsar, blood donation, check blood type, and eye check. KSR also one of the organizations that have a strong education almost approaching the semimilitar education pattern and also have a commitment, a strong union.

UKM of ART

PKM is one of opportunity for student creativity. In this time all student can make  interest something such as attractive program with beautiful decoration the their make. PKM event is opportuni for intruduce your self to people, how are you and where do you study, and what your prestation do you have. PKM is time just for you be student in State Polytechnic of padang. It is one of evidence for you like next generation the have more idea and imajination  in make something.

Same with student from ukm of art the have opportunity to make program in PKM event, they make some program such as Solo Song, Politeknik Musik Festival, and Polytechnic Festival Music-(West-Java).They have three program and they can make their program succes at PKM event. More student like with their program and do you know one of their program the participant from employee from State Polytechnic of Padang. They have broun out for all student that their program can interlace family in Polytechnic campus. Other than, they have agreement reached for their program such as Solo Song the decide insert Rp. 50.000 for 25 participant, Politeknik Musik Festival with insert Rp. 150.000 for 20 participant, and Rp. Polytechnic Festival Music-(West-Java) with insert 200.000 for 20 band.

In Polytechnic Festival Music (West-Java) program, three band of participant be out of program because don’t have self confidance. They think will the loss if they constant abreast of program. Other than, in this program UKM of ART have three winner and they are D’ mayor band, Pluto band, and the Chilis band.  The winners get some reward such as number of savings, cup, and sertificat from UKM of ART. Finaly, their program merry closed with butchering birthday cake from Polytehnic at 25 years old, Wednesday, october/ 03/2012.

Satgas in PKM Event

Student Creativity Event or PKM is an event that held by State Polytechnic of Padang one week in one semester. It is an event to develop the skill and creativity of students. In this event all the student organization at State Polytechnic of Padang held some kind of event. Satgas one of organization students at State Polytechnic of Padang has prepared some kind of event for PKM. It is known when the commandant of satgas Rolly said that satgas has prepared some kind of event for PKM. The event that held by satgas are sniper game, cross-field, and flying fox.      

On monday 1 October 2012, Satgas held the sniper game. Games are held on the left of satgas stand. This game was followed by 72 participants.The participants that get score from 60 until 100 will come to the final game that will held on Thursday. At the time only 15 participants that can come to the final game.

On Tuesday 2 October 2012 satgas again held a game. The game is cross-field. Cross-field is Followed By 30 team from many kind profession such as student, lecturer and the public. Participants must take the difficult and challenging. They cover the hills and on the back of campus state  Polytechninc of Padang.

On Thursday 4 October 2012 Satgas held the Flying Fox game at civil pond State Polytechnic of Padang. This game Followed by 82 participants. Indra, one of Flying Fox participant said, he is very happy and enjoyed that game. He hope this game always there in every PKM event.

The events during Students Creativity Fair 

especially of Mechanical Engineering

From 2007th to the 2012th, Andalas State Polytechnic of Padang has been holding Student Creativity Fair once in six months. The event is one of academical programs that is arranged by Director Assistant to distribute students’ creativity by performing any appearances, talents, and social activities. The students are free to develop their idea and to apply it in campus. The event involves university students and senior high school students nationally.

In this year 2012th, State Polytechnic of Padang holds  Students Creativity Fair in October 1st-7th 2012. The opening was in October 01st 2012 and it was celebrated by  some performances and attractions from student associations in State Polytechnic of Padang such as musical band from art student association, robot attraction from robotic student association, self defence attraction from karate student association, and many others.

During a week the event, the students established a stand to perform any their creativities. Especially, Mechanical Engineering students established two stands for their programs: the first was a place to karaoke and we paid five thousand rupiahs per three songs and the second was a place to free motor service. They also presented their alumnus’ final task for 1st to 3rd year students as guide for  making final task later. The programs were held every day from 08.00 – 16.00 WIB. In addtion, they sold oil with cheaper price that price in market. On Tuesday, they held seminar FESTO about Pneumatic and Hydrolic for mechine. On Thursday, there was competition to drive motorcycle slowest by paying insert three thousand rupiahs. The competition has followed by 28 competitors from State Polytechnic of Padang. From all competitors were taken a winner in final on Friday. The winner was presented thropy and beautiful T-shirt.

The event of Students Creativity Fair is ended with Dies Natalis (anniversary of Andalas State Polytechnic). It is the best day than the previous days. The amount of students in State Polytechnic of Padang were more than before. In addition, vice governor of West Sumatera and his group came to celebrate Dies Natalis. Thus, the students could maximize their performance on stage or on stand. It was an opportunity to present their skill and to promote their department. Especially, it was for Mechanical Engineering.

Sports Activities Unit

Student week activity (PKM) is one of routine agenda on State Polytechnics of Padang which is graft on academic calendar. The purpose of this agenda is to expose talent of the student on State Polytechnics of Padang. This activity run on a week, started on Monday and finish on Friday. The Study activities were negated, so the students focus on this activity .This agenda started since 2000. Sports Activities Unit popularly known as UKO is a Student activity units that marched down in the field of sport. This UKM is very helpful to students studying at Padang State Polytechnic to nurture talent, interests and funnelling students especially in the field of sport. There have been many achievements by the Padang State Polytechnic in sports, both the scope of West Sumatra as well as national events.

            This semester UKO held many matches for celebrate student week creativity such as: footsal, 3 on 3 basketball competition, chess, volleyball, and badminton competition. This events followed by many students in state polytechnics of Padang. 3 on 3 basketball competition is one of this event. In this semester there are 10 teams participate on the match, there are cenat-cenut, ambassador, no name, bingkaruang, sipil,kolor lambok, sexi, cyberthec, jolk, and backspace. The competition started in Tuesday and end at Thursday.The first match is cenat-cenut (CC) vs sipil, winner CC with 30-9. Second match between cyberthec vs  backspace, winner cybertech with 23-16, on thuesday. On Wednesday, match between  jolk vs no name, winer jolk with 29-27. Kolor lambok vs Ambassador, winner Ambassador with 27-13. Bingkaruang vs sexi, winner sexi with 19-7. Quarter final CC vs Cybertech, winner CC with 20-10. Ambassador vs Sexi, winner Ambassador with 22-17. On Thursday CC vs Jolk, winner CC with 26-19.  At the final cenat cenut (CC) become champion after defeat ambassador team with score 26-13, on third position is Jolk.At the closing of Student week activity each cenat-cenut (CC) member team got trophy and certificate there are Andre, Jhon and Risky.

English Caricature Competition in 

PKM of State Polytechnics of Padang

PKM or Pekan Kreatifitas Mahasiswa, in State Polytechnics of Padang is an event once a semester which is made for all students in Polytechnics for exploring and showing their creativity. The PKM was held on October 1^st to 6^th 2012, where all of organization involved in the event such as SATGAS, KSR-PMI, UKO, ROBOTIK and also participated by all student association from Mechanical Engineering, Accounting Department, English Department and etc.  All of the organization designed and made a STAND and some programs to participate in PKM event.
            The PKM opening ceremony of combined Dies Natalis inside, it was a memorable memment for State Polytechnics of Padang. It’s because the name of State Polytechnics of Padang was changed into State Polytechnics of Andalas. It was legalized by the vice minister of Indonesian education, Mr. Musliar Kasim. It was declared on October 5^th, 2012 in PKM’s building. So, from now on the name of State Polytechnics of Padang is State Polytechnics of Andalas.

  One of student association is English Department of State Polytechnics of Padang. In PKM on this, English Department semester holds an English Caricature Competition. English Caricature Competition is a caricature competition which has English element inside. The registration started a week before PKM event, the requirements are copied of ID Card and paid the registration fee for Rp.5.000.

             The  English Caricature Competition, it was hold in E building in State Polytechnics of Padang. It started from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, which is participated by 5 participants.
While the winner announced in closing ceremony of PKM the winner got trophy and certificate.

UKM MAPALA

State Politechnic of Padang is one of good college in Padang, Politechnic has many organizations, like Mahasiswa Pecinta Alam(MAPALA), Unit Kegiatan Olahraga (UKO),Unit Kegiatan Seni (UKS), Korps Suka Rela(KSR), Satuan Tugas (SATGAS), etc. Ok, this time I am interested to tell you about UKM MAPALA.

UKM MAPALA is one of organizations in State Politechnic of Padang.Mapala is channeling the interests and talents of students in the field of mental construct and preserve nature. MAPALA is also active in various humanitarian activities such as blood donation, helping people in natural disasters, fires, etc. In this PKM event UKM MAPALA holds one event, walk climbing. This event is so interesting, because with insert Rp. 5.000 only, the student from other departments can follow this even.

This event is held from Wednesday until Friday,on October,03 2012 until October ,042012. Started at 09.00-16.00 am. Although this even is so long, but all students do not feel bored, they are very excited with this event, because they can do sport,make a good relationship and can explore their experience with other students about wall climbing. beside that, they can improve many friends from other department and also can change experiences  with other friends.

This event is followed by 45 students from other department. Although, this event do not give a reward to winner, the students keep spiritful to follow this event, they think “being together” is more importan compare with reward only.

One thing that is more interesting from this event is cheer from audience for the player, although wall climbing is not too high, many player cannot reach the top, because it is so difficult to raise her body and so tired too.

Student Week Activity or well-known by Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa State Polytechnics of Padang is an event which is done by all of the students of State Polytechnics of Padang in every semester. This event is held to make the creativity of the students improved.

During this week, every student association requires to build a stand.  Every stand has to have different theme. The theme was set up by Student Executive Board of State Polytechnics of Padang. In this year, the theme of Student Week Activity is cultures. So, every stand has to be set up well based on the theme decided. For example, English Student association got Lombok’s culture. So, the students of State Polytechnics of Padang tried to find everything related to Lombok. In last semester, the students were allowed to sell everything that they made. That way is helping the students to enhance their creativity.

Well, the activities done are not only building the stand but also holding some competition, seminar, workshop, and etc.  The competition held is based on the basic of student association its-self. For example, Language Student Association held debate competition and Kana festival, Cyber-tech student association held Android seminar, Cross Red of Polytechnics held Free Blood Checking, SATGAS held Lintas Medan, and etc.

Here I am going to tell you about two big events held by Languange Student Association of State Polytechnics of Padang. The first is Indonesian debate for students of State Polytechnics of Padang. They held Australasian debate system but, it was allowed POI (someone who gives interruption during debate run). It was followed by fifty four students who are divided into 18 groups. Firstly, they got the motion about the homosexual people may who were not allowed to donor their blood.  In final session, there were two groups involved. They were abal-abal and the high group. The motion is about the 9^th PON which was held in Riau. The positive side believes that PON is gives more harms than good for Riau but, the opposite against that. The debate ran so well and interesting. Each group was trying to strengthen their idea. The final session is the best moment of this competition. It is not only about finding the winner, but also was judged by the president of Student Executive Board, Ilham Toni Adam beside Fajar Okta, Pauli, Fifitri Ali, and me. I was very glad to watch and being the adjudicator. Are you interested to join debate competition, too? Just waiting in the next semester.

In this semester, Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa was held in the same time with 25^th anniversary of State Polytechnics of Padang. So, the lecturers and staffs of State Polytechnics of Padang are also involved in this event. In order to celebrate the 25^th anniversary of State Polytechnics of Padang the committee was held fishing competition, marathon, tarik tambang, and many other activities which can make our adrenalin spurred. Besides that, the committee also held an event which can unite all of us that is eating together.

Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa in this semester was memorable by State Polytechnics of Padang. It’s because the name of State Polytechnics of Padang was changed into State Polytechnics of Andalas. It was legalized by the vice minister of Indonesian education, Mr. Musliar Kasim. It was declared on October 5^th, 2012 in PKM’s building.
