I will develop what in my mind now. That is something but can make so confused now. There are about two things that we will select for our future in the next time. When we will take this action we must think before you all have no regrets later in your future. That I hope.

Maybe we have the difficult choice in our life. We are seconds years student English Department in State Polytechnics of Padang have a choice for the next semester that are choose between Broadcasting and Tranlation. Why I said that  is difficult choice? Because of we have to choose one of them. We all want to feel and try both of them without having to choose. Maybe in this life when we will take the action should be choices, we must choose and still walk to go to next semester that is semester 5.

For my self, I want to develop my capabilities without having to monotonous or obstructed in one point. I would like to express appreciation, maybe I want to all out. In this case, I started my study and taked English Department. Do you know when I were go to this University just focused and one purpose that is want to study about language. I think State Polytechnis of Padang same with the another University, we are just study about linguistic.

In fact, that all  very different from what I was thinking. Study at the Polytechnics more sharpening our ability or skill so that we can easily and directly work after graduating from Polytechnics. Maybe in this situation makes me a little disappointed, because I hope it do not like this.

I have  thinking before why when we study in English Department, we should have to study about broadcasting. Because I think that's all there is no relation. Because from the beginning I started study in English Department at this Polytechnics I will just study about linguistic  in order to develop my skills and my capabilities into English. After that I still study and there is an action that we will be face with Broadcasting and Translation.

It is an action or a difficult choice for my self. We all probably not to know beans or less recognize about both things. Therefore, we would like to try both of these things. In this life we should to choose.  For my self curiosity about  something that do not know before  is so large.

I would like to know how to and functionality as well as the benefits from both of them. I want to learn about that. Of course, both of these there are a positive effect and a negative effects. Everything that we will face it there are obstacles and challenges. For my self the obtacles if I choose Broadcasting in my choice. Do I able to do it for many people. Automatically we need braveness for that challenges. When you select the translation you should always be on time doing any order that gived to you. The challenge are to be more for study for get the latest information.

It is reinforced by our senior who started to study about Broadcasting. They are only studied about broadcasting for 1 semester. I want to ask  what they have learnt and found Can they are work directly into broadcasting with only study 1 semester? That all make me wavered.

It all makes me wavered and confused. There are the students already experts or those with special study about the world of broadcasting must be studied  for several years to be able directly into Broadcasting. We just learned a few semesters, can we do it? I have a question about that until now in my mind.

That is right we should always be diligent in learning. The knowledge is not only we get in the classroom, out there is still a lot of knowledge that we will get. An experiment and study for my senior directly into Broadcasting. They are can study how to ekspression themselves and learn about responsibility for their obligations. In fact, they are just studied 1 semester so what will they doing in Broadcasting. Have a big question.

It is lucky for us,second years students English Department has studied about broadcasting from 4 semesters. So, we have more knowledge about all things how about Broadcasting.  4 semester we studying about theory of the Broadcasting.

We have studied about Radio Broadcasting and TV Broadcasting. We studied about a lot of things in the Broadcasting. I would like to explain here about Radio Broadcasting. Firstly, I metwith my lecturer Radio broadcasting Mr. Sentot in our seminar or workshop which is held by English Department. When Mr. Sentot describes about Radio Broadcasting his voice so slowly it makes me sleepy. I am so sorry sir I have to tell you the truth.

I think why he explain it so slowly and makes me sleepy. Will you be my lecturer? Uh-oh... If this lecturer taught me will make me so sleepy??? I do not know, let’s do that.

Thursday we begins our lecture about Radio Broadcasting. Our lecturer have come and introduce their self. They are Mr. Sentotand Mr. Wahyudi Maswar.We doing the lecture, in fact, it is different with my mind before. Stuidied Radio Broadcasting so enjoy and I so enthusiastic about the Broadcasting.

Upzz ... stop. Here I do not want to explain about how the way our lecturer teach us,but I interested what is the material they will teach to us. Our meeting is always getting better than before, we get more material about the Radio Broadcasting.

Mr. Wahyudi describes how a broadcast and the actions a broadcaster. While, Mr. Sentot teaches about techniques or tools to be used in the broadcast. For my self.After we have pay attention, I think want to try and use the tool.You have to be patient now it is because you will do practice in the next semester.

Many tasks a broadcaster in the broadcasting. There are many things we should consider becoming a broadcaster. Especially for a Radio Broadcaster. What think that should be attentied by us? That is the sound, the sound is an important thing that should be kept. According to Mr. Wahyudi he has expalained the sound is the most vital and fatal component.That means we must begin to recognize our voice? Then we start get new assignments as a students studied about Broadcasting.

The first assignment is to convey the news that we have listen it on radio as well as through television. We have to deliver it in front of the class as being like a percentage. In my opinion we delivered the news that we listen in the front of the class like practice as a reporter.

The last practice that we do the simulation of interactive dialogue. We are looking for material, and Mr. Wahyudi as a speaker. In fact, changing and developing will always exist.Mr. Wahyudi said I have much progress in this time. “The material that you deliver is good, but but you are still in hurry”.

Saturday? That was the first day when we come to RRI. We watch and pay attention what does  room consist of. We enter into the room and saw what happened in there and wacth directly of Mr. Wahyudi on the air. I have a dream to be like that.

In that day the activity is so nice and so happy. Mr. Sentot has explained to us how abou broadcasting clearly. We are more interested for listening that hasexplanation by Mr. Sentot. My dreams so higher to be able to feel sitting on the chair of announcer. In that day we can also see and observe directly the manner and process of interactive.

Maybe my knowledge about the broadcasting is still minimal. However, I can conclude this activity which is broadcasting need a creativity and a person's ability. Broadcasting needed a creativity people  art for always can make a new program and do not make boring.

We change our topic about the translation. We have been learning about translation from 2 semester.Not an easy job to transfer the others language become our language or otherwise. Translation??? We learn to translate English-Indonesian or Indonesian-English. It is so hard thing for myself. Why do I say be like that? Because of English language do not our daily language.

When we translate English into bahasa, we should know about what is material we are going to translate. About healthy, engineering, or public. We should have to understand it all. When we translating the material about engineering we must know a lot of information that they need to support our result of the translation.

As an example we will translate the source text about healthy. Non of in the text that we can translate. Why? Because there are some of the names in the text of health that we. If we do not aware of this the result of translation will be crumbling and the client will angry if receive the result.

When we translated something we should be extra careful and read a lot so do not to miss information. It is the hardest thing to do, that is a lot of reading. Some people are so lazy to read a book bold printed. Sometimes it is a so boring activity. However that is the profession we have to do it. In the translation we do not only translate English-Indonesian,but also we can translate French-English, Japanese-English or Japanese-Indonesian. It all depends on our ability what is language our master.

That is the thing we need in translation, we need master in our field. If you miss understanding about the text will be make fatal result. Any work that you have done there would be a risk that we will always be prepared first. We must make the translation are good and right, at any time and anywhere. If you have received a project from a client you should do it, until the limit time client give to you.If your work have not done the client will be disappointed and your services will not be used again.

Out there we can find the books as a result of the translation. Sometimes when we read of the result have awkward. That is  the mistake done by a translator. We as a translator must also be capable of being an editor in order to make the results of our translations are not to be ambiguous and chaotic.

Sometimes there is still much we find from the results of the translation is still stiff or literals. Why say I like that?? Especially, someone translate Indoesia-English for there will be a feeling so hard. Because English is not our mother tongue, automatically it is different understanding if we wrong to translated. When we translate about something we must know over all the information that is realted with our job. Is not just general information but, it should be more spesific information too.

There are many types of translation that I know. Freelance translator is a free translator which is translator can do they job without associated with a company. This translator can translate any subject they have master. Sworn translator is sworn translators which is only translate legal documents.

There are many things about translations not we know yet.I have studied before there are guides in the Translation. Let's discuss about the translation guidelines. There are some guidelines Translations that I will discuss. Translation of the word-by-Word is someone translated the source text directly word-by-word. The translation of word-by-Word is rarely used by a translater. Free translation, in this translation we do not need depends on with the source text. We can translate according to our thinking so that the result of translation strange.

Communicative translation. This translation must be observed by a translator, as a result of this translation will be easily understood by readers directly. From the results of translation is needed is an understanding of the reader. I can only share a little information about Broadcasting and Translation that I know. My lecture said love your job then you will feel comfort with your job.   That is depend of our personal.
